I thought these would be an easy project - no such luck. The beading on these was even more intricate than a full sized pair, because the sequins were only 3mm instead of my usual 5mm. The slippers were made in the same fashion as the originals, with the 1930's gelatin sequins being embroidered onto custom dyed silk. I had custom made tiny jewels created for the bows, and also included felt on the soles and a tiny Innes Shoe Company label inside the right shoe. I have no plans to ever subject myself to this sort of project again!
